Inside the #21CLCC

From April 4 through 6, 2016, we celebrated 21 years of the Cengage Learning Computing Conference in sunny Orlando, Florida, where we were inspired to be Change Agents of Computing.

Joined by dozens of presenters and hundreds of computing instructors, we enjoyed two-and-a-half days of engaging presentations and interactive sessions of a variety of topics, including: Cyber Security, wearable technology, mobile apps, computing in the cloud, Power BI, digital literacy and more. And of course, we had plenty of sessions devoted to SAM, MindTap and other Cengage Learning solutions.

Keynote speakers Rob Curtin of Microsoft, Cengage Learning CEO Michael Hansen, Corinne Hoisington of Central Virginia Community College, and National Geographic Learning Explorer Caleb Harper addressed trends and inspired us to embrace change in the ever-evolving world of computing.

Our Unconference sessions on virtual labs, the future of MindTap, learning by gaming, and flipping the classroom offered a behind-the-scenes look at the Cengage Learning product-development process and generated lively discussions among attendees.

And of course, we had some fun mixing and mingling, meeting and engaging with computing instructors from around the world! Whether it was your first time attending, or you’ve made it to several of our events, we hope you had a great time and we hope to see you again soon.
